Joe Weider was not only one of the pioneers of strength sports, but also a successful entrepreneur who has brought a whole range of nutritional supplements for strength athletes and bodybuilders onto the market.

Ingredients

Particularly interesting for muscle building athletes and during the definition phase: Weider Gold Whey is 100% based on the muscle building readily available whey protein (whey).

100 g of ultra-filtered whey protein are contained per 79 g. A decent value, here the Weider Gold Whey does not need to hide from the competition. The branched-chain amino acids & glutamine (BCAAs) are 23g per 100g protein (Warning! Nicht per 100g portion) included. This is also a value that can be seen.

We were happy about that abstinence on the controversial sweetener aspartame. This is not included in Weider Gold Whey. With almost 6% lactose, the product is unfortunately not for people with lactose intolerance suitable. Likewise, the Weider Gold Whey with almost 400 kcal/100g is not suitable for one protein shake diet or for muscle building athletes who have opted for a low-carbohydrate diet. Incidentally, Weider Gold Whey is made in Germany.

Nutritional values and recommended dose

In our Weider Gold Whey test, we mixed 15g of the powder with 150ml of low-fat milk (1,5%). The solubility of the Weider Gold Whey was OK. In spite of protein shaker Small lumps formed, but this was not noticed particularly negatively. The shake did not cause flatulence or stomach rumbling after the test.

Conclusion – Weider Gold Whey Review

There is not much to complain about with the Weider Gold Whey protein shake. High protein content, good quality, amino acids are OK and the taste is also convincing.

At €0,97 per portion, the product is not exactly cheap either. Nevertheless, we see few reasons not to make a purchase recommendation here.
